WIP

I really like to see we all have a life. Sometimes it even remembers me I should go out. But where I'm productive and want to be, I think it's better to hide it to only get motivated by people working on they own things too. Also, generalize it would help people understand they can have a life to...
When I first started WIP about four years ago I never thought it would turn into what it is today. It was a just a Telegram chatgroup, free for anyone to join. Pretty soon though, some very kind people (many still active members today!) asked if they could donate some $$$ to WIP in the hope to i...

WIP's streaks are always a decisive topic. Some people claim it's what finally made them a productive maker while others dislike the unhealthy incentive to work every single day. For the people that do like streaks, it can be very demotivating when they eventually lose them and have to start fro...
We’re going to try something new. Have a specific topic for some of our weekly hangouts.  Which topics would you like to discuss? We might try and invite an expert to answer your questions. Thanks  for the suggestion!
If you have any feedback for me, post it here. Of course you can also share it in the chat or email me personally. People occasionally ask me what the best place is to share their ideas, so I figured I'd create a post for it. 😁
Our community is quite diverse – many people are shipping their very first products while there are also folks with five, ten or even more years of experience here.  I also see established makers willing to share their knowledge and wisdom, and new makers willing to learn. It looks like there’s ...
I'm planning to ask new members a series of questions to help them introduce theirselves to the community. The idea is to share these little interviews in our weekly newsletter, on the website, and in the Telegram chat (when the member joins the chat). Below is what I have so far, but I'd love t...
I've just pushed another update to the WIP.co iOS app I'm working on. Join here; https://testflight.apple.com/join/wveCKGrt I'm open to suggestions for what to add. And if anyone has any suggestions on how to deal with the Twitter API 500 post limit I'd love to hear it. (for now twitter api acce...

I think it could be useful for us to roast each others product. Provide critical feedback. Then as a maker you can go through each point and figure out a fix or how to prevent those possible problems. I’ll start with WIP.
Going to Paris for a few days, I thought I'd try to contact some people shown on the map in the area: https://wip.co/makers/map Checking all 30 accounts I could find, I realized, a lot of them have become inactive, with no recent posts and deleted Telegram and Twitter accounts. That made the sea...

From what I see using the GitHub search, I can find different extensions, I'm curious about how people are actually using this website? @marc, maybe you've stats about user-agents to share? Thank you!
I post in WIP every day for 177 days. I like to see my streak growing. But here is no likes, no comments. I want to crosspost everything to X community Build in Public. Can I somehow do it in easy way?
If WIP had an AI chatbot that knew about your projects and completed todos. What are some of the questions you'd ask? I'm wondering if it would be useful. Want to collect a list of use cases first. Some ideas I thought of: • Ask it what to work on next • Let me specify my goals and ask if I'm ac...
I'd like to have the possibility to disable search engine indexation on my profile so my wip list wouldn't be available publicly to the whole internet. Is it possible ?
I see a lot of great projects on here that I'd like to support in some way, but I don't necessarily want to become a user or customer of that product. There are also a bunch of cool products that are pre-revenue, or on a free side-project model, so I think it would be cool if the WIP community ...

I am doing my first project on Firebase backend. It seems cool enough. Although, on the other hand PostgreSQL is so darn powerful. Anyway, does anyone know how I could set up firebase so I can get notifications when new users sign up? Also curious to hear any tips and tricks for using Firebase su...

Since @marc is updating WIP and has previously mentioned changing invites a bit to make it easier; I thought it would be good to have a thread of ideas to improve the overall experience...

Seems to me like it would be great to be able to track pomodoro-style work sessions via @wipbot. So you could send: /work 30m <task> wip.chat would show a real-time display of who is working on what and wipbot would follow up when the session is over, asking:• How was that session? (1-5 qualit...

I'm considering creating weekly reports that will show you a high-level overview of what you worked on that week, based on your WIP todos. The goal is to give you an overview of your progress, while also giving you something to share with your audience (blog, Twitter followers, etc) to update th...
