Could #life be a default project we all have, and then allow us to filter it on the homepage?

I really like to see we all have a life. Sometimes it even remembers me I should go out.
But where I'm productive and want to be, I think it's better to hide it to only get motivated by people working on they own things too.
Also, generalize it would help people understand they can have a life too and don't need to be a productivity machine?

I like that idea. Everyone seems to create their own life project anyway, might as well make it a default 👍

Especially with WIP streaks I make it a daily commitment. It becomes part of the daily routine. Showing productivity here is more genuine because others are doing it too. If I showed it elsewhere I feel compelled to expand further on it, but not give too much detail. Microblogging is easier here on WIP without compromising brainpower to show myself a certain way on social media.

Agreed.

Personally I see life tasks as a bit of a copout just for keeping streaks going anyway.

I sent this same question to @marc as a DM last week, I believe he is working on a generic filtering method for the home feed that will allow for this, along with other saved filters.

Your idea of having a default "#life" project created by the platform is interesting though, as it would allow the platform to differentiate between shipping streaks and shipping+life streaks. I doubt there are many folks on WIP who have a 100+ shipping only streak. Migration would be nasty though.

I like this idea. Wip streaks seems to be about #life

you don't want to see every single thing I eat? 😢

Unpopular opinion: if too many users have their filter turned on, it might make the community less 'fun'?

Maybe a separate home tab instead of a filter?

Everyone, Everyone+Life, Following

Yes great idea! I've been working on the onboarding for new users, and adding a default #life project (and explaining it) seems like a good addition.

Same for the homepage filter 👍
