Recently moved all of my apps to a $5/mo VPS using Coolify
Saved tons of $$, and can self-host my NextJS/FastAPI/Ghost/Postgres instances etc.
Coolify has an API that can be used to automate this setup for common self-hosting scenarios (NextJS, Supabase, Gatsby, Remix, Postgres, FastAPI, Mysql,...
At Dea we're probably spending 60% on product & engineering, 20% on content & marketing, and 20% on business related activities.
Would love to know what everyone thinks is aย perfect split of time and what yourย actualย time spend looks like.

First new feature of 2023
Confession: Tbh, Iโm not proud Iโve not deployed new features for more than 1 year (since 21 Nov 2021).ย
The past 2 years had been a tough journey figuring out marketing for Lifelog, and the slow dawning that it wonโt live up to my expectations as my one true SaaS to bring me to ramen profitabil...
I feel like Trello is getting more and more bloated. What are the features that make Trello good, what do you actually use?
- Simple Kanban
- Add multiple boards
- Add members to boards
- What else?

People signed up to use my free tool!!
I can't clearly say I've built something that people want before. All my products have flopped and I never really got much traffic, and I killed them
I JUST GOT 2 USERS. People who I don't know! They saw my site, and signed up for my tool and are using it!
This is a really big win for me.
LFG.

Made my first money yesterday, woo hoo!
Just made my first money yesterday, didn't even ask for it, which is a good sign I guess.
Hey, if you are using PostHog, could you explain the pros and cons vis-a-vi Mixpanel?
And if you recommend another "product intelligence" tool, could you write it down?

Launched Shipped!
I launched Shipped on Twitter. The launch got very good feedback from the community, with 350+ likes and 300+ bookmarks.
I sold some licenses in the first 24 hours too.
I'm setting up a wait-list form for an upcoming product launch. How should I effectively manage the influx of emails from interested customers? Has anyone experienced managing a wait-list before? How did you handle the emails and notify individuals about the product launch?
Your insights and exp...
Shiny New MacBook Pro arrived yesterday! I think I'm going to rock Cursor initially. Anyone got any go-to's for when they get a new Mac?
(Realised I should have posted this as a questions rather than a To Do.)
Title says it all, but we've got CS college, Graphic design college, online courses, tutors, learning on the job, boot camps. And these all have tradeoffs and timelines. How would you respond if someone asked you the best way to learn how to design and build web applications?
Title says it all. It would be fun to have your streak on your personal site.

First customer! ๐
I just got my first business customer for Nobinge's API!
That's 29โฌ added to my MRR!
For a reminder, my API allows businesses to transform their products using AI without any expertise in that field.
Don't worry about which LLM is used, which provider (Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Groq, OpenAI, et...
I have additional 30-40 minutes a day in the morning before my day job and I want to use it for working on my side project.ย
I want to have the same strategy as Pat Walls from Starter Story and sit down in the cafe on the way to the office.ย
I donโt want to carry my laptop with me every day, bu...
One off SAAS are basically SAAS on which you work on only once in the beginning & after that there is little to no development, only maintenance. Do you know any examples of such?
For #studiolist I want to store and access data as easily as possible. I thought about storing in large text files but the performance is probably not that good. Using SQL I would not be able to store the data in simple text files (as far as I know). Except for user-sensitive data these text file...
I'm coding the design of my web app. I'd like the whole thing to show on one page without the user having to scroll down. The design is simple and loans itself to that, I just need to work out the coding.
I've played with %, vh, and vmin. It looks like a mess, particularly on phones and tablets ...
