Me and @nadine_bejou were discussing the idea of having a way to set and track your goals on WIP. Before we dive into the feature though, I'd like to get a better sense of how all of you are setting goals (if any?), what kind of goals, how you measure them, whether you set a deadline, etc.
Right now the Shipping Streaks incentives people to ship every day. Shipping often is a good habit, but doing so for weeks in a row without rest is unhealthy. Some people log non-work activities, but that feels like a hack and leads to spammy todos. Maybe we can redesign the streak. It should s...
I'd love to see the streak personal record (PR) next to the name or on a user's profile. Maybe with a ๐Ÿ† emoji? It makes it more OK to lose a streak, but show off that you did ship for so many days and did a record.

I think it could help the site feel more alive if signed-in people by default opted into being added to a "seen by" list for each todo. Have it look like the likes (a string of profile photos). People could opt out at the cost of not being able to see who had seen other TODOs. TikTok does this f...

Startup Jobs has been growing a lot lately. It now generates over $10,000 in monthly revenue. If growth continues like this, I estimate we'll hit $15,000 within a couple months.
Hi! Is it okay to air suggestions about features here? Just a small thing I was thinking about Could it be nice to for example show first 5 comments on the todos home-feed with a "read all" button that expands fully like now? WIP is the social-ish media that I enjoy scrolling. Here I just becom...

Not sure how many people we have here dealing with this situation but would love to know your approach on that.ย  Here are some questions in my mind: How do you keep up the motivation for your side-projects? When do you work on your side-projects? Tools that help you to manage your time? etc.

Hey WIP, Bad day today. My Heroku console has 1803 critical errors :( Are critical errors common? Looking at the specifics: a) I'm using 1X professional heroku dynos. Surely they can handle this level of traffic? b) I made a big mistake with images. Trying to write them to Heroku. Hopefu...

Bluesky invites?
Does anyone have Bluesky invites to give out? Would be more than happy to help fellow WIP members get access later on. I signed up for the waitlist half a year ago I think, but still no email from them.
Hey everyone. When I say old-school, I mean Iโ€˜m pushing pixels since 2008. While I've mostly been helping clients with site, app, and logo designs, Iโ€˜ve also been working on my own side projects. There are too many to name, but my latest one is Zenpen.club. Since Iโ€˜ve been too busy in front of t...

Glad to finally join the WIP community! :D What are you working on these days? Currently building supercal.io, and launching it by March 1st. The goal is to make 1000$ by end of April so I can go all in on Indie Hacking. What can the WIP community help you with right now? Mostly accountabili...
If you've been following my recent todos for Tweet Photo, you might have noticed something was up. Well, here it is: Tweet Photo has been acquired by CreatorKit. A few weeks ago Kevin Natanzon (@kevntz) reached out to me asking if I'd be interested in selling the service. He's the CEO of Creator...

When it comes to product development and deciding what to work on next, I have never really followed a specific methodology. I just fixed the bugs that seemed the most annoying, and built the features I thought people wanted. That kinda works, but I'm always wondering: is this really the thing I...

Hey everyone my name is Travis, I'm a 20+ year full stack developer and have been a solopreneuer/freelancer for the better part of 10 of that. A couple years ago I exited for 7 figures and took a break from software engineering to chase my dream of owning/operating a legal cannabis cultivation b...
I've been coding since the early 2000s. I started coding in ruby on rails in 2013 and never looked back. I still use jquery for all my front-end. It bugs me that I haven't made the leap to react/vue or the like, but all projects I worked on so far (freelance + side projects), I didn't have a goo...
Hey everyone, after 3 weeks of building I'm ready to start sharing Task Monkey.ย  Why I am starting this: People fall into 2 camps: ๐Ÿ‘‰Using over-complicated and over-engineered task management apps ๐Ÿ‘‰Using too many apps and can't keep track, are wasting time and generally confused. The end goal: T...
