Going to Paris for a few days, I thought I'd try to contact some people shown on the map in the area: https://wip.co/makers/map Checking all 30 accounts I could find, I realized, a lot of them have become inactive, with no recent posts and deleted Telegram and Twitter accounts. That made the sea...

Hey all, There is already a product, it is liked by the community and used by a lot of people. And the guy who made it is a really nice guy. But you had this idea as well, long ago. You just never did anything about it, but you think you can do it much better. At least parts of it. And your bu...

Hey all,  I've been grinding for a while now, started to get some products going in stealth, more to come and sooner rather than later ready for PH launches. But before I do, I'd love to make some more friends in the community.  I was wondering if anyone was up for an online poker night if I so...

Hey peeps. I'm looking around for communities specifically dedicated to freelance work - whether for software development or otherwise. Specifically I'm trying to find some more places to get feedback on the fixed-price model I'm testing for . The Roast post gave me some good feedback on the pag...

I'd like to do a roundup of helpful tools (and businesses) by indie creators to feature in my next Substack, which is created for ADHD creative entrepreneurs. Drop your links below and give some context about: - who it's for (i.e. ADHD entrepreneurs who struggle with time blindness) - what prob...

I've always hated Discord but recently it has improved so much with regards to UX. Telegram and WhatsApp could never compete with it wrt threading and community feeling.  The question is, is Discord's bot capabilities as extensive as Telegram / WhatsApp?  Feedback welcome, thank you all.

I am currently building a product that is a fairly generic SaaS with a focus on solving problems within a specific niche. I am considering making it commercially open source, where there is an option to self-host and improve if desired. Think of cal.com, plausible.io etc. How does one think of ...

Hey all,  I'm keen on joining an indie hacker collective. Rent a flat for like 3-6 months somewhere nice, like Spain, and keep building products.  Would anyone be interested to do this?

To keep up with the streak and with what is going on on-the-go, I use wip.co on my phone. Installed to my Android launcher as a "web app". Using it, I noticed the button for creating new projects, posting questions, roasts, milestones or intros are not visible in any of the mobile / responsive me...

Has anyone considered using Patreon for subscribers? I am considering using it for a small community type project. This community could extend to a YouTube / Podcast for content.

Couldn't find the poll feature :).. What community tool would be preferable for a tiny community with marketers, founders and experts?  Personally I'm not a big discord user, Slack reminds me of work, FB too noisy and not everyone is on the platform anymore. Telegram would be my go to..
I have been living in Bali on and off since 2014. From 2015 to 2018, there were frequent IT meetups that were highly technical, no bullshit events that can be seen often lately :) Those meetups were cool and I met some interesting people but guys who used to organize it lost interest or moved out...

Hi, fellow makers! I've a list of ~9k subscribers to my old Revue sporadic newsletter. But Twitter (Revue's operator) got acquired and Revue passed away. Most people seem to have moved away to Substack since then. But I don't like Substack: it makes me feel infoxicated and flooded with emails. ...

Ideally with more of a community, maker vibe with some social events after work. A lot of them like WeWork are very corporate and don't host any events as big tech companies in NYC just use them for overflow space when they run out of space in their own office.
WIP currently shows you their daily tasks and occasional milestones. What other things would you like to see? I'll list some ideas below, but I'd love to get your suggestions too! • Revenue / MRR for each project • Other metrics like user growth, engagement, etc • Weekly/monthly recap of their ...

Bluesky invites?
Does anyone have Bluesky invites to give out? Would be more than happy to help fellow WIP members get access later on. I signed up for the waitlist half a year ago I think, but still no email from them.
