I've launched a Chrome extension. I've got users but no analytics.
I now want to make quite a big change and I don't know if it will annoy users as I don't know how (or even if) they're using it.
Has anyone added analytics to a Chrome Extension? I could figure out the technical side but I'm n...
I'm required to have a Privacy policy in order to allow Google Login. I've so far looked tried termly.io, but it seems a bit expensive to get the branding off and also integrate the policy on to the website.
I'm wondering what everyone else is doing here?
When a customer of your business requests their account data to be deleted, how do you handle it?
You could just delete everything outright, but you risk losing all usage evidence if they end up filing a chargeback later.
I'm thinking of building a well secured, self-service "delete my account"...
I'm trying to compare saas solutions to handle cookies consent, specifically the consent registry part (storing the proof of consent, in a GDPR compliant way). I found Iubenda and Axeptio for saas solutions, but I am looking for open source scripts or cheaper alternatives. What do you all use mai...
Hi, Currently I'm building a webapp and I'm wondering if I need a privacy policy / Cookie notification etc. For example can't find it on WIP or Nomad List. I thought it was a must?
I already have 2 emoji .ws domains on Godaddy, and I'm looking for a place to transfer them.
You can purchase a privacy protection option on GoDaddy on renewal but when I check the price, it's a way too much.
I receive a lot of domain related spam email on weekly basis and I want to hide my perso...
For #simpleanalytics I want to hide the user's IP address. I don't want to get the real one anyway. But having a HTTP handshake is I think not possible. Maybe a proxy? But does that work for a script in the browser? Any ideas?
I'm thinking of dumping Google Analytics on all of my sites and instead using Matomo, which can be self-hosted
The data obtained isn't quite as useful, but should be good enough for what I need, at least for now.
And it respects a users privacy considerably more than GA does.

Right now, my only solution is renaming all my JS files from 'twitter-accounts' or 'twitter-login' to 'accounts/login' (Based on stack overflow answers).
But I'm not sure if exists a better solution for this?
I don't have any bad intentions... but you know.... most feels like it's needed.
As pretty much everyone is aware by now GDPR comes into effect on May 25th, I'm working on my policy now and wondered if the WIP community could share how your Privacy Policies have been put together, how you've laid things out etc
What are you doing to prepare your product?
Just a thought.
I'm building a website to help protect your privacy with:
-A summary of the privacy threat for each online service
-A list of the data you share with the service
-A checklist to configure your settings to protect your privacy
I just designed the first page and I need feedback: http://www.privacy...
There are 58 days left until the EU General Data Protection Regulation enforcement starts. Beneath that i am generally interested in rising the security of our web apps/sites.
