How do you make your logos unique?
I use https://vectr.com with different fonts & add some text shadows to it & export it using SVG.
Now that Vectr added ads & its irritated me, I've deleted it & switched to Sketch for making some cool logos 😜

The first customers could be difficult to acquire. Do you think they should be beta testers?
I'm building a pretty simple app for people to keep track of their budgets and finances. I don't necessarily think a private beta is necessary, but I think that little bit of exclusivity might bring more signups and generate more interest than just a standard launch.
Thoughts?
What's the preferred free tier of the cloud services right now?
More context: I need to run a basic web UI + API server (which could go to sleep if there's no traffic, but hopefully not!), a Postgres instance, and a constant background daemon.
If there's some criteria you guys use to evaluate an idea, please share!
