About WIP's recent downtime
Just wanted to give you all a quick explanation on WIP being down today and earlier this week.
I've been in process of switching many of my smaller apps from Render to Digital Ocean, deployed through Kamal. While I'm still a big fan of Render and I think it's great for hosting profitable sites, ...
I've been freelancing for a while, and have an mern saas dev agency now.
Most of my clients are boring businesses. I want to work more with indie makers on interesting projects. But I'm sure I won't be able to do it on the current prices.
What do you think would be the best price for Indie Maker...

How should I host my rails apps?
I built a few different rails apps locally and am ready to deploy them but I'm not sure how I should deploy them (especially since I have 2 that I want to ship on the same server).
Some thoughts I had:
• Digital Ocean VPS and manually install ruby, nginx, passenger etc and allocate resources?
•...

👋 I'm Garm from Amsterdam, working on the fastest way to set up a referral program with Referlog
What are you working on these days?
Referlog is the fastest way to launch a referral program - check it out on https://referlog.com
I started building Referlog to scratch my own itch as a growth minded CTO.
Whenever I launch a new product, I always want to experiment with adding a referral pro...
Hello everyone,
For those who prefer not to share their private phone number for administrative stuff, Airbnb etc, or require a virtual phone number for their company (as some services like Stripe request!!), which reputable and reliable online services do you recommend for generating a phone nu...

Facebook blurry og:image
I can't get facebook to display the image I set in the og:image meta description in high quality. It only appears blurry even though I set it exactly to 1200x630px, and also it doesn't take the latest image I define either. Does it take days to update the new image?
What are you working on these days?
I am working on a Youtube channel (youtube.com/@ajudmeister) making Django and Htmx tutorials to build an image-sharing site (awesomepixx.com). I want to help beginners and entrepreneurs building their first web app.

I have a product I'm fleshing out at the moment, and a heap of great name ideas. Unfortunately though, most of them have the .com taken, or at a silly premium price.
Is this a blocker for using that domain name?
Ideally a tool that can post to all major social media platforms in one go!

Which Mac apps do you recommend?
Hey WIP fam! I'm on the lookout for mac apps to feature on my newly launched site. I'm interested in those you can't live without or ones you think are just cool, even if you don't use them yourself. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks!
Hey everyone! 👋
I've heard your feedback and am excited to announce that we've officially launched a free tool! 🚀
Please show some love for our new tool at https://www.producthunt.com/posts/battle-cards-generator 🧡. Your support means everything to me! 🙏

👋 Jeff from Singapore.
What are you working on these days?
I'm currently working on #syncreceipts - automatic way to find receipts from inbox. I have not coded in about 7 years so picking up Ruby on Rails again to code felt very refreshing!
What can the WIP community help you with right now?

I am using Gmail APIs to read user's inbox with offline access so that my tool can extract receipts and automatically categorise them to make life easier.
Google's telling me that I need at least 100+ users to go through the review process. But, I can't quite get there with a big red warning mes...
I've been a founder for a decade and one recurring problem that I keep having is having to collect all my receipts manually for tax filing. After hearing that this pain is felt too by other fellow founders, I decided to take a shot and build syncreceipts.com which uses AI to extract receipts from...

Besides the tooling available out there, decided to use the standard built-in macbook screenshot tool, with a border-radius.
Slowly releasing parts of the solution to relevant parties in the Netherlands.

I used to use PH's Ship, but it doesn't seem to be a thing anymore, and I don't want to use something that's gonna take a cut of the revenue like gumroad, and I need to have access to the emails. What tool would you recommend?
I'm planning to sign up for their service so if you have a referral link I would be happy to use your one rather than one from a random person on the Internet :)
Hey, if you can only choose one, DaisyUI or Flowbite?
And why?
Also, if I use both in, will it make my page heavy or does the library only include classes I actually use?
My underlying framework is AstroJS.
Officially launched on PH, I would deeply appreciate your support on Product Hunt: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/competeai 🙏.
