There is no right answer but different stacks can either speed up development or slow it down. I would say it depends on what kind of app you want to build.
Are you going to have a lot of client side interactivity? If so I would say go for javascript front end and a javascript backend (node or deno). Otherwise I would probably say run elixir with elixir liveview if you don’t have that mch experience since the learning curve will be big anyway.
Phoenix liveview is imo much better than django and htmx. The amount of stuff you can do with little code is unmatched with any other environment I have tried. Which you stated was the goal here.
Remember you can do a lot of interactive stuff with css.
Hello Arnold, welcome to the community!
Sure, no problem. I don't like to be negative and it's not really clear to me exactly what you'd be doing. Maybe I am completely wrong here because I am also just taking stuff out of my ass.
There are startups that target large corporations and it's often enough with 1 or 2 customers in those cases since they are so large and pay a lot.
Selling to governments and large corporations is probably way, way harder than selling to small businesses. Firstly, large corps will have a lot of demands on the solutions you provide and if it is weapons there is probably a lot of legal issues as well.
I don't think governments will tell people on the kind of software weapons they have. They won't simply hire any contractor.
I think it's probably a bad idea but at the same time it is not really clear on what you'll be doing.
Cool, I don't really know that much about audio but that was my two basic cents anyway :D
Sorry, no logo exists yet for the app. It's still under development and is just something we work on sporadically when there's time over.
Hi Audrow!
I really like the website. It is clean, simple and contains all the necessary information.
I guess for me the most important thing is the RSS link, since I operate a podcast player app (podd.app) and I will be adding your podcast to it (podd.app/podcast/sense-think-…)!
I'm not missing any features but what you could do to improve audio quality is recording in a space where you dont have hard walls behind / around you. Or simply hang a blanket in order to soften the audio somwhat.
Also getting a dynamic microphone will for sure help a lot. I would not really recommend a condenser mic since they tend to record every little sound around you.
I think the most important thing for you is to pump out some good episodes.
Good luck!
Great, I'll add podd.app to our podcast platforms list. Thanks for adding it!
Thanks for the tip on the blankets and the dynamic microphone. Improving the audio quality is definitely the next move for the podcast. I'll check out dynamic mics and try to pad my space.
I'd love to hear your thoughts as we have more episodes about what we could do better.
Does podd.app have a logo? SVG preferred.

Maybe this could be a configuration option. I would prefer if I could take "vacations" from the hustle and pause the streak for a while.
When I am on vacation, I may be with friends etc and there could be no time for working. Maybe I am at a place with no internet connection hiking etc.
Since people "game" the system anyway, like posting to #life it doesn't really matter if you can pause it. The system is good for keeping motivation going but it shouldn't make one stressed when you have days off IMO.
Hello,
While it looks good what is blocking for me is the signup. I assume all team members need to create an account? At my dayjob we already use GSuite so Google Meet is what we use. It is greaet because we can just paste a link into the slack chat and everyone can join immediately.
The thing is, I kind of want and need a link because there are people on the team that maybe join only temporary and don't need to have an account.
Is the service missing any features?
Maybe if one could not share a meeting as a link?Would you ( and/or your team ) use it? Why or why not?
Probably not, because of the signup.
It looks like a perfectly fine app, but you're in a highly competetive space with giants like Microsoft, Google, Zoom and Slack that you are kind of competing with. I would probably advice you to find some specific angle. Encryption and privacy immediately comes to my mind since Zoom is the only one that claimed e2ee but that was debunked and they can probably not be trusted.
Also Google Meet is completely free afaik so it would be kind of hard to convince the managers to switch to a paid subscription only because of the privacy stuff since that is more of something I care personally about.
Best regards,
Markus
+1 for: It is greaet because we can just paste a link into the slack chat and everyone can join immediately.
To expand on my comment, I would definately use the mongodump tool and the mongorestore tool. You can find information on how to use them online.
They are the way to go, even if you use mongodb atlas, you still want your own backups and you do it via the mongodump tool.
Honestly, a business doesn't need to be based on a good idea or even unique idea. All you need to provide is a service or product that is competitive with others. It certainly helps if you're the first one to figure out a solution to some problem that other people have but there are as an example a bunch of sushi shops in most major cities.
All you need to do is provide good sushi, preferably better than most others, and people will buy it when they become aware of it. Since you're starting from scratch, it is a high likelihood that you will have some failing ideas or projects but in time you will learn what works and what don't.
Good luck and there is no idea to share your dreams with negative people that give unconstructive feedback unless they have something that they can provide.
Thanks @santas_dev . I'll note down this points.
