Thanks Wilbert,
What do you think about the .co vs .com?
I feel like .co is more techy but not everyone may be in that bubble ;p
I'm sorry to get into the conversation. Usually, I prefer com but look at the Notion with their .so It's simply doesn't matter what domain zone to use until a product is great.
I use .io for my seofy.io product but my dream is to buy the same domain in .com one day :)
I agree with Ars as well.
Personally I’m a .com hunter when it comes to a product name, like what I did with getmumu.com
But in the other hand, not all of the name could add some kind like “get, use, etc”.
In the end I would say just move on. There’re bigger things that you should do afterwards. 😉
Thanks! Some solid advice here, I'm not at all a writer and I'm having a hard time pulling people in, I get what you're saying tho. I'll try to highlight some of the important stuff and write better intros, to try and get people more hooked :)
One thing you can do throughout the week is bookmark the articles you end up reading. Perhaps you already bookmark them anyway. And then every once in a while take some time to analyze them. What made you want to read them? How did you know it would be worth your time without having read it first? (Kind of a paradox when you think about it.)
Landing page:
- I don't know if it's just me, but the css is a bit messed up for the homepage (Chrome Mac)
- It'll probably look a bit better if you add some more spacing in the hero section overall
- The service itself look very complete! Lots of options and statistics, but it can feel a bit overwhelming
PH page:
- I think you can get more out of the preview images, the text doesn't seem to have enough space and they look very busy overall. Maybe you can find a way to make it a bit more calm.
Do you email aliases? There are many ways to do this. Almost every email provider offers this service. Some domain registrar offer it for free as well, like porkbun.
I guess it depends on the domain registrar and the hosting which option is easiest. Also important; do you want to automate it or just do it manually?
Hey, sorry I couldn't sign in before. I'm going to try mailgun as per Marc's suggestion. I will make it manual to start off with. I'm with namecheap.
improvmx.com has a free tier.
How to do it yourself:
The simplest way to do this in my opinion is to get a hosting package somewhere with unlimited domains. Can be some shared host somewhere. In the cPanel of the hosting you can create a "Catch All Email" address. All the emails for the domain will then be forwarded.
Then you just have to change the MX servers to the new host and done.
gotcha! thank you
