Scoured 50 lines of code in VS for an hour to figure out why the hell the player keeps jumping into the stratosphere when you're not supposed to jump while mid-air. SO SATISFYING finding and fixing the code, despite how utterly frustrating it was. The dopamine release was ✨exquisite✨ and I wish I started coding muuuuuuch sooner. (It was line 42 -- I had two "enters" and no "exit" & that "enter" wasn't even in 2D mode 😭 -- and I laughed maniacally because I'm a huge fan of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.") #gamedev

Tried to work out why a Carrd plugin pushed down an element instead of overlaying over it, for 1-2h. Couldn't figure out even after tweaking and testing all the CSS, comparing line by line. In the end, ChatGPT saves the day! (Great for issues like these which are hard to google for) 😯 CSS is a mystery sometimes. Or I'm just bad at it (in the end it was just position: relative vs fixed 😩). #pluginsforcarrd

🍟 Side Project Weekend: I'm back!! But spent all my side project weekend hours trying to get my Nuxt app working on new MBP again. Node version issues, installing NVM, creating new super user, got both frontend and backend apps running at least, then realising no local data, installing postgresql, then recalling that i used sqlite for local db, now trying to import old data into new laptop.. 😤💢 #lifelog
