Question
What's the biggest mistake you made when launching your product?
I'm getting ready for another product launch and want to avoid common mistakes. What's something you wish you had done differently during your launch? I feel like there's always a lesson to be learned.

For #watchdog it was pricing too low and targeting the wrong people. I basically launched with pricing targeted at broke indie hackers with no money. I had multiple pricing models - underpriced subscriptions, one-time credits that no one used, etc
What I actually should have done is started with a reasonable and simple subscription fee, like the $29/mo I currently charge and targeted bigger companies and individuals that have real chat moderation problems and are willing to pay for it
I eventually got there but Iβd say the first 1-2 months was a waste, now starting to see a bit of traction and had 4 customers sign up in the last 2 months after I got my head straight about this
Not validating early enough, quickly enough. Not just if there are customers, but especially if/whether I can reach them.
