For #watchdog it was pricing too low and targeting the wrong people. I basically launched with pricing targeted at broke indie hackers with no money. I had multiple pricing models - underpriced subscriptions, one-time credits that no one used, etc
What I actually should have done is started with a reasonable and simple subscription fee, like the $29/mo I currently charge and targeted bigger companies and individuals that have real chat moderation problems and are willing to pay for it
I eventually got there but I’d say the first 1-2 months was a waste, now starting to see a bit of traction and had 4 customers sign up in the last 2 months after I got my head straight about this
