I just started langbites.co last month, if you consider language learning as part of education - it's a free daily newsletter to build your vocab in different languages

Hey Cat - a long time ago when I was freelance most of my best clients came from:

  1. LinkedIn and personal networks - I just told people I had previously worked with that I'm available
  2. I maintained a blog with technical issues (I'm an engineer) and I still regularly get questions/leads from it

Do you have an online presence / blog?

Thanks @ryoheiw! Yes I keep a boilerplate repo, as a result nearly all of my sites look very similar when they start out :)

my current thinking is i won't add logging (and tests!) until some higher level of user activity 🙊

you might like logtail, i remember they had a free plan

in the past i had just logged to filesystem and logrotate. i've also worked at a place which streamed to kinesis. or cloudwatch.

ha, I can understand the desire to not have these things upfront - that said, given the nature of the authentication product I am prioritizing writing tests with things that I build

do you mean this? betterstack.com/logs - looks like this is the new version of logtail/maybe it got renamed
