Got an offer to buy this project before it ever launched.

A friend recommended SketchRepo -- then said, but if you can find something at codecanyon.net/ -- it's already coded --

Good point Marc. I brought it up because I was starting to play around with the API and thought it'd be fun to tackle a real problem somebody else was working on.

Other job boards have the goal of getting something to work for their paying customers. So, if you contact that board owner and ask if you can re-post -- telling them it'll help them at first, they might be open to it. One thing you might consider is discovering what part of the "work" you enjoy. Maybe it's a part that could be provided as a service to other boards.

Can’t remember exactly, but it’s a full-service solution. They handle support etc.

Check out FastSpring - we've used PayPal directly for 12 years, but it's time to update our process.

Hello Brian, thanks for giving some thoughts on it! 🙂 May I know the reason behind the update from PayPal to something else? Another question though, can't Stripe do this as well?

Yes. Stripe will be what I update to.

Do you know how does FastSpring pricing looks like? Their pricing page doesn't even say that.

Found this on Google. If its true, its BS - www.google.co.in/imgres?imgur…

The next step would be to put it into action, and revise it from what you learn. No?
btw, love this.

Yes, for sure... Just wanted something concrete to follow (and moving me in the right direction) for now while i'm starting.

Start with a no-brainer price that's easily justifiable based on your current credibility. I believe 'lifetime' is a little bit of trickery because it doesn't state the lifetime of what? Your interest in the project? Your human life? The lifetime of the technology?

It's useful for a money-grab on your part so set the expectations accordingly.

I bought somebody's entire productive future FOREVER for $1,000 -- 3-years later, it's still going. So, good deal.

( You can always increase this price at any time. )

I'd say that the 'interest' life in a tool like this maxes out at 3-5 years. So, if you could get lifetime for 3x the annual rate, it feels there's a shared risk.
