I think it works with by replacing emojis by small images using javascript. WordPress does this, so you might be able to use whatever they use.

I guess I can hack something together. Would be really nice if this was supported by default by some service like MarketHero.io with a freemium option for low volume.

@derkinzi @pretzelhands I just updated the question to include the use-case. Please take another look & elaborate on how you approach the automation bit.

Someone at IndieHackers recently started a google sheet where people crowd-sourced what problem they would see solved & how much they are willing to pay for it. I liked the idea very much. So, yeah incorporate that into your execution.

Also, for upvoted ideas, maybe provide a way for people to talk to others who might be interested in building it or already has started? Otherwise, multiple people start building the same thing, which could have meant a better product if people collaborated? Just thinking out loud.

Till now (until I finish the one I am working on), its Redirecto (redirecto.ashfame.com)

Using WordPress as an interface, I built this SAAS out which generates nginx config files for redirections. I built it in a single day when I originally built it. And then a week to optimize it. Its really built out well in terms of architecture. Only uses nginx (no language processing involved at all), so runs very fast. Benchmark results - twitter.com/ashfame/status/91…

Never launched it publically though. Been 14 months that I built it. Only has 3 paying clients till now. But feels damn good to have built it.

Very interesting! I wanna price things ending at .99 as well because I don't want to lose customers, at the same time I want to keep things really simple by perfectly rounding off the numbers. Guess, I will have to go with former approach anyway.

One-time fee isn't sustainable if the product in question requires updates over time or attract support, which probably covers almost everything, haha

@swizec Thanks for the elaborated answer! Totally makes sense to test pricing but only applicable when you have a handful of regular sales coming in. What do you suggest I should do when starting out? Here is what I am thinking - cl.ly/2h1U1V2n0F1q for httpscop.com

I have tried to keep things very simple here - rounded off numbers & all features are included in all plans so shouldn't cause any surprise in customer's head, like you mentioned. Thoughts?
