🔨 busy, busy day but got Claude to fix three random server issues. One was in a new project and I mistaken user my old DO ip addresses instead of our new ones. The second, I left Cladue setup a new application in Coolify and it just worked. #servers

finish last fixes on new #crisp s3 storage backend to support hybrid between our old school Minio over LAN, and DigitalOcean Spaces S3 buckets, and any other S3 provider — used to route certain path prefixes to certain S3 providers for future cost optimization and to ease with the production migration

investigate if it's possible to migrate all #crisp s3 objects from our current minio on network volume deployment, to digitalocean spaces because they have a limit of 100M objects and we may be well past that... lol - wrote a small C helper to count faster than Linux's ls command cause it's so slow when recursive on millions of files

I lot of work on new Flutter #giftit app. I also migrated #kindlegratis backend to Hetzner and got 4x RAM for less money than Digital Ocean.

💸 Realized once I move my last two managed databases off of DO, my Hetzner bill will be 2/3 of what I was paying for those last two servers. My new stack is three servers at 1/5 the cost of my total DO bill was. #servers

renew cloudflare enterprise this year for #crisp, but tell them that we'll reduce reliance on them in the future cause they are constantly raising prices and now we pay 7k USD a month for a few add-ons, which more than we pay for all our server infrastructures at DigitalOcean, combined. CF is great but as soon as you go ENT it becomes an extractive business, akin to a drug dealer selling you addictive shit and then you're hooked and they can raise prices whenever they want and you still have to pay otherwise you're fucked
