How do you convert abandoned signups?

So, I got 31 signups for https://aivideo.to while I was asleep. But none of them made it past the subscription paywall.

What I know from this is some of my efforts brought some traffic to my website. Then the website copy was good enough to make them sign up. After signup, they hit the paywall and most left then & there. Only a few even bothered to go to the checkout.

Maybe this means price is the issue? Should I consider reducing the price? Or is it a good filter against signups that might not have converted anyway?

Could this mean they are not yet sure enough to make the purchase?
So if I nurture them through an email sequence some of them might hit the pedal. What sort of email sequence should I run? Send discount coupons? I did send some to the previous batch of signups but they didn't convert.

I know these are a lot of questions 😅. Call me stupid if you will, but this is new to me. If you have done this before, would love to hear your answer on even one of these.

Thanks!

To test out if it's a price issue I have doubled the usage quotas on aivideo.to. Now all pricing tiers offer twice the number of videos as before.

Will test these out for 4 days and see if this converts better. Otherwise will go back to previous prices and focus on other params.

before:
10 videos -> $50
50 videos -> $250
100 videos -> $400

now:
20 videos -> $50
100 videos -> $250
200 videos -> $400

Also, to give the users an experience of the product, I have started to send a welcome email that offers a free video but needs them to reply back for it to gauge their intent. I'll see for 1 week what results this brings in.

I write email sequences for clients.

What I recommend:

1.) Create an abandoned cart sequence (3-5 days) -- goal is to capture sales right away

2.) Create a nurture sequence that upsells them (ongoing -- goal is to educate them about how they can use your product and why it'll help them). Use MoFu and BoFu content, including case studies.

Don't assume it's price just yet.

Thanks for the recommendation. Yes, I'll work on setting up an email sequence. I'll also be experimenting a bit with price to understand better and get some metrics. Possibly this leads to something!
