Take a look at ifttt.com recipes.

@pugson the problem with ifttt is that it won't go over my old photos, only the news ones AFAI see

Ah yes, that's true. For old photos you'd have to use Google Photos app on your phone. It can import your whole library.

what i do is download all photos from icloud github.com/ndbroadbent/icloud… (this download and delete photos free icloud storage) to a directory. Then use google photos sync to upload the photos ...
