Yeah, proxy servers helped me a lot in the past.
There are back connect proxy services out there that autorotate proxy server for every request/session.
Depends on what you are scraping, make sure you have some sort of a queue system, that will retry when scraping failed.

Same boat – freelancing 24-40 hours per week. But I just decided to keep it down to 24/week unless clients pay double so I can focus on my own projects more.

I usually have the list view enabled, use space to open the image preview and then use the up and down arrows to navigate.
