Keep Out – Distraction-free zone.

This is not a question but rather a thought train I had to stop and put on paper.
I've been active on X for the past couple of weeks.
I've never thought of growing my audience there and only used it for distraction and doom-scrolling. So, as a result, I had a lot of junk that I followed.
Today I realized that I'm getting pissed by all these distracting posts talking about this or that, having pointless threads about controversial topics just to gain following and engagement farming.
I don't want to waste my time cleaning the list of accounts I follow. So I just muted by keywords.
In the end, this is my time, my attention, and my life. And it is not for sale for a dose of dopamine.

Have you thought about not using the X interface to post? I send most of my tweets via Typefully, and only browse X when I need the distraction.

Thank you for the tip!
I will do more stuff to optimize my usage in the next weeks.
The goal is to reap the benefits and leave out distractions.

I used Raycast to create quick links to 1) my X's curated List(s) and 2) Create a Post. If you don't have Raycast, you can still do the same by bookmarking the direct link. The main point of this exercise is to not see the (crowded) main timelines.

Thank you for the suggestion, Leif!
I'm quite new to using X with tools, so I need to do a bit of research.
