Question
Do you design websites? I want to talk to you for USP validation
I am currently building your tool, and turns out my small tool could actually be a full-blown product.Β
To give you a bit of a backstory and for you to understand what the product does when I design websites because I'm not an expert designer I like to take screenshots of other websites so that I can then put them together like a collage to really see how they would fit together to create the final design.Β
This way I don't really have to think of how the design is going to look like, I just go with inspirations that I found on other websites and I put it all together into one "blended" design.
Now, I have to take a decision on which audience to target: designers or front-end developers. As you can imagine those two audiences have very different needs which is why I need to validate the unique selling proposition.
So, I am looking to speak with both website designers and front-end developers.
The tool itself is kind of a combination of a moodboard and a wireframe because it allows you to put screenshots together to create a look and feel of how the design would look like when it would be finished.
The goal of the tool is not to create a final design but rather to create a very quick draft of how the website could look like only based on the inspirations you found.
If you do web design (whether you're a designer or a developer), I would like to talk to you to have a better understanding of what would be valuable for you. This would help me better understand which direction to take next.
Thanks in advance!

(1) I would DM people you're targeting directly (designed, developers) on Twitter for a 10 min chat.
(1.1) Reach out to those targets who are also building; as you could potentially offer something in return (i.e. feedback on their project), as opposed to be a uni-directional ask.
(2) Have something to show, even if its something basic (Slides, written doc, etc)
Instead of "I would like to talk to you to see what would be valuable"; say "Given your expertise in X, I'd love to get your feedback on what I'm building"
1.1. That's a good point, I'll have to think on what I can offer, because I was mostly building the tool for myself, and I'm not an expert designer... But I like that it should to be 2-way, rather than a ask on one side.
Thank you so much for your feedback and suggestion π it really helped me shift my perspective on a few things.
