(1) I would DM people you're targeting directly (designed, developers) on Twitter for a 10 min chat.

(1.1) Reach out to those targets who are also building; as you could potentially offer something in return (i.e. feedback on their project), as opposed to be a uni-directional ask.

(2) Have something to show, even if its something basic (Slides, written doc, etc)

Instead of "I would like to talk to you to see what would be valuable"; say "Given your expertise in X, I'd love to get your feedback on what I'm building"

  1. I started doing that, but if you have any advice to make sure I don't sound "salesy", I am all ears. (Because I think most people are very tired of getting "useless" DMs 😅)

1.1. That's a good point, I'll have to think on what I can offer, because I was mostly building the tool for myself, and I'm not an expert designer... But I like that it should to be 2-way, rather than a ask on one side.

  1. I recorded a Loom video, hopefully that would be enough and not scare people...
