Install DiscreteScroll to get rid of mouse-scroll acceleration on macos: apple.stackexchange.com/a/262…
Just started using the Keychron M3 wireless gaming mouse with my Macbook and I'm loving it, it's way way better than the Logitech MX Master 3S
Trying selfcontrolapp.com/ for macOS for the first time and loving it, it's easier to start than modifying the hosts file on Windows and I don't know how to disable it, unlike the hosts file which I can always change back.
spent time working on my own list of basic data structures & algorithms to memorize while prepping for leetcode interviews.
working on the MBP today is opening my eyes to the fact that a lot of my "procrastination" is just me grabbing my phone to browse Twitter when my computer is being slow to do something, and then I end up wasting an hour. Having a lightning-fast computer gets rid of that mechanism for procrastination.
client work on my MBP, this thing is pretty sweet. fast like my gaming PC but portable. I think I may have been biased in favor of my gaming PC b/c of the big screen I use with it. I'm using the trackpad but my neck is starting to feel strained from looking down. Now I get why piet has that weird-looking sitting position in his PFP, it may be to keep his neck from hurting.
worked on my gaming PC today and man is it amazing, better than the MacbookPro so far. but not as portable as the MBP.
returned MX Master 3S mouse, the scroll wheel is unusably inconsistent for small movements, the mouse is heavy (b/c it's wireless and has batteries), it's laggy (b/c it's bluetooth), and using the mouse requires moving my entire hand/wrist, whereas with a Razer DeathAdder I can move the mouse with just my fingers and it's way lighter and more responsive. So basically just trust that stuff popular among gamers is going to be better.
Got a secondhand M1 MacBook Pro with 64gb RAM and a MX Master 3S. Got the laptop for less than half the original price just 2.5yrs after it was originally purchased (paid 65k baht, originally 146k baht). First time owning a Mac myself, I want to see how it compares to my ThinkPad X1 Carbon and desktop gaming PC.
