Making prototypr.io and email otter

I guess I've been wrong saying AI spam, sounds more like VC spam from this..I remember praising the bootstrapped dropdown to help you find bootstrapped products, but they removed it ..not sure what the thinking is

yeah, it was a real useful feature. Might have been disappeared due to AngelList acquisition.

I think there have been lots of competitors, but they don't really stick cos it's a huge job to make something new and then keep people engaged, and then keep out spammers too!
haha yeah good entertainment 🍿, first time I've been engaged in maker stuff on twitter for ages

woah the replies on that dogobert thread are insane, so many alternatives, surely one will make it !

Yeah, I’m actually excited for that launch haha

yeah it's a tricky one, feel like saying nothing sometimes is better.
But this has put Product Hunt on the radar again at least

like you say it's hard for them to judge what is "good", I don;t think the rules on the help page make it any clearer

yeah I miss the old one :(
AI has taken over PH, they need an invite only or something

tiptap.dev is worth a look, markdown out the box, store as json or html

I think all your knowledge and experience with all this, and knowing who to contact means there is something definitely there.

It would be cool to just click a button 'create company', 'add trademark' from an existing project. When it needs info for company creation, it'd be good if we could just upload docs and paste links, and some AI just gathers all the stuff ..ah i'm going down a rabbit hole

I pay subscriptoin for to make use of claude artifacts. Other than that, using Cursor.com !

thanks for your input mate, it helps me decide right now and I also use Cursor to utilize these LLMs.

Oh yeah, you can add API in Cursor. So you don't have to pay Cursor's subs. Haven't try it yet tho.

thanks @cat ! I will get the USPTO trademark Marc mentioned! I didn't realise anyone could just come and take a name, did some AI research lol:

Burger King of Florida vs. Hoots (1979):

A small ice cream shop in Illinois called "Burger King" had been operating since 1957, predating the national fast-food chain's expansion into that state. When the larger Burger King tried to open in Illinois, the small shop sued. The court ruled that the smaller Burger King could continue using its name within a 20-mile radius of its original location, while the larger chain could use the name elsewhere in the state.

Thanks Marc, all the extra info is really useful. I don't know much about TMs but I did register a UK trademark - not sure if that carries any weight anywhere else though.
I'd really appreciate the intro to the TM laywer and will drop you a message!
