Solutions for T&Cs, privacy policy, etc

In the past I've used lawyers (running a VC-backed company) but now that I'm moving towards a bootstrapped business I'm wondering what I might be able to use that's more cost-effective like templates, generators, ...

You will smile, but I would suggest starting by examining the terms and privacy policies of established competitors in the market. Study these documents carefully and draft your own version based on what you read/learn.

Next, leverage tools like GPT, such as Legal Insighter (legalinsighter.com), to review and identify any gaps in your document, considering the legal requirements of your country.

Be aware that this approach carries some risk, and you may miss important details. However, it's a balance between the cost you're willing to bear and the level of risk you can accept. Hiring a lawyer can be very expensive, while using an online service with a low fee can be quite risky. In my opinion, the approach outlined above offers a good compromise.

Follow what @laurent says, it's the same advice I was going to give. While GPT might seem like a quick & easy solution, do mind the initial advice to review those of others in the market, or vendors, if you use any. In a telecom business I had years ago, this was a complex task so I used language my vendors used to cover the basics, then added what I needed from competitors to cover my specific services.

Start with www.privacypolicies.com because their free plan is good enough to get started. They are cheap and worth paying for.

If your project takes off, you should have enough revenue to afford a lawyer to modify these to fit your needs better.

I just asked my lawyer to send it to me. They had some go-to boilerplate that they adjusted just a little.
