If you had an app where you could get all your favorite newsletters in audio. How would you react?

But audio with creator voice.

Hi! It's probably not for me because the newsletters I love are all broken into sections and not a clear piece of text that makes sense standalone, read aloud, as they really need visual aid and context and links to appreciate.

But maybe if it were a longer form story or article / one coherent piece of writing this would work. I'm not big on audio books either though to be fair (though love podcasts) but other people absolutely adore that so it might work for them. Interesting idea - never thought about it!

I totally agree with you about newsletters.

I myself don't think it's suitable for audio.

You'd have to adapt the text like an audio book. For example.

Thanks for your feedback

Yes - agreed! And many newsletters I read this would be impossible. That said, I did / do follow David Roberts for years on more specific / niche energy science and he does / did audio versions of his newsletters. But that's because they're effectively an article / deep think piece each time (at the time it was released as a private podcast feed for subscribers I believe I used to pay for it, but it may have changed since). I still just read it each week though.

Nope from me, I already have a big enough pile of podcasts I can't find time to listen to. So more audio content isn't for me. With text, I can at least scan it quickly to pretend I've read it. 🤭

Thanks for your feedback

I wish I could say it's a great idea but not only do I think many people struggle with audio content like me, but there are also those challenges mentioned by @lis. The only option is to gather unbiased feedback with a landing page and see if people want to sign up for a waitlist or something similar.
