At least 80% of posts I see on my X.com feed are checked. Is it almost mandatory, or is it a natural selection ?

* People shown in the feed are good, interested and post frequently, so it's logical they are more in the feed
* Just pay and it will be shown

Which one is correct ?

Same observation here. I don't pay and my reach is so low. It's really hard to get beyond my audience.

Oh same. I'm hardly on Twitter anymore because the reach is abysmal, and it's just not the same as it was before. I HIGHLY recommend Threads. The reach is fantastic, and it's a solid community there.

I'm also on Bluesky, but I've noticed that it pales in comparison to Threads. It has more of a Twitter vibe, though, while Threads is truly feral in the best ways.

How did you start growing on Threads?

Honest answer? By being absolutely fucking feral.

Think: the early days of 2008 Twitter.

i'm struggling to get any engagement out of Threads. probably not feral enough! :D

The answer to everything in life is to be more feral ๐Ÿคฃ

I'll follow you back!!

I've found on Threads you might have a smaller following, but they'll be loyal. I'm a big believer of quality over quantity, though.

Threads, that thing still exists?

I agree on the abysmal reach. I've kind of given up.

Threads is working even with indie hacker content?

Where do you post instead? Do you see better reach on other platforms?

you mean the "For you" section?

I honestly started avoiding that section (stick to "Following"). Too often it shows me stuff I could endlessly scroll on but rarely it is really useful. So I suppose it does what people pay for.

need blue check for reach. frankly, even with blue check, reach is hurt. X is no good if you do not pay to play.

If I have a product, then I have to pay twice ๐Ÿ˜…
