decommissioned a redis box #servers

realized tonight I can halve some of my server bills by consolidating a few servers and turning off a Redis server #servers

🔥 trashed and rebuilt my main docker box. dumped a 12+ containers I didn't need running anymore.

(continuation from last night) I set up a new DO box so I can basically serve an infinite number of static websites from for $5 a month. GitHub Pages have served me well but Cloudflare charge $20 or $30 to add more redirects (annoying) and GH's terms are for-profit friendly

mostly focused on consolidating Apple and Gmail accounts and other long overdue digital account cleaning

fixing my oven instead of working on side projects because of a cleaning mishap #mylife

Sunday coffee and hanging out with the kids

made pizza for the family which took ~3 hours instead of ~1 hour because some oven cleaner was failsome #mylife

figuring out the special hell that Apple IDs are and trying to consolidate a few things

published #djangonews #112

fixed a few bugs on the running club website tonight. still not seeing what the upload user media issue is though

finished a new draft and format for #djangonews

scheduled two podcast appearances for February and March. I am not sure why today for two difference ones and yet here we are. #mylife
