Would you like to try a GitHub commits to WIP telegram bot?
When I was actively using makerlog during the time when it’s GitHub integration was working, I had an easy way to log my GitHub commits activities with ease but it was interesting when your repo was private because it showed “you pushed 7 commits”. Then suddenly the integration stopped working and I lost my streaks. I didn’t pay any attention if there was an api to build your own integration or not so I didn’t bother.
This year when I finally got access to WIP and saw that there was an api to build your own thing I decided not to go through it again so built something of my own which some time because of procrastination and other things but it’s finally working.
Building a telegram bot with a lot menus ain’t no easy fit but it’s done. This telegram bot allows you to post a todo on WIP directly from your GitHub commits. You need to connect your GitHub account first then your WIP account and you need to have a project first before it’ll start working.
After connecting your accounts, simply add a github repo to the used by using the/start command and tap on the button below the text or the /integrations command then navigate to “GitHub>add repo”
After adding all the repos you want, select the wip project to attach to a GitHub repo through /integrations > WIP > [project]> link repo and that’s it.
You next commit on GitHub from the repo will be turned into a âś… todo on WIP
Sorry for the long text and here’s the link and QR code for the bot:
