What's most important in an affiliate program?
I want to roll out an affiliate link for all of my projects, but I've never really found a third-party website that makes it easy to find affiliates, get them paid, and track everything. It seems that it's a lot easier to build my own these days. If you've used an affiliate program, either as a seller or buyer, what's most important and what is totally unnecessary?

I'm using PromoteKit for
#watchdog with no issues on their free tier (3 referrals max)
I looked for:
- Native Stripe app integration for easy setup
- Ability to add simple JS to update Stripe checkout links.
- Mass payouts (I can pay out everyone in one click without any pain)
- Very minimal and simple UX
- Good support (support needs to respond within 24h)
I didn't care about:
- backend SDK (I use hosted checkout)
- onboarding form (I did that myself for free with youform)
It has all of the things I was looking for and works fine. I have a small program so I don't require much more at this point.
This is interesting because this is one of those cases where now that I've looked at their website I know exactly how to re-create all the functionality that I need in five minutes for 60% of it and two hours for 90% of what I need.
I am assuming platforms will continue to exist, but it's become easier than ever to recreate. Knowing myself, I'll probably try to recreate quickly, and if that doesn't work, then end up going with their system. Thanks again!
is it working well for you?
yes, like I said I'm using it with no issues so far. their support was really fast to respond when I had a question about their javascript integration.
What about results? Are you getting much affiliate attention or conversion?
