My community is baby and expect it to stay small since I'm only sharing it with people I know/am connected with.

I'm reopening Brandcrafters Guild (paid membership) soon, and as that grows, I'll definitely want something to manage people. Is Watchdog only for Telegram?

Makes sense, thanks. Telegram, and Discord integration coming soon. Which platform is the guild on?

Mighty Networks now, but I might look into a WordPress integration.

Got it, ok. Haven't heard of Mighty Networks but if you'll find value out of this and they have a developer platform, I'm happy to build an integration.

After getting most of the way through the Discord integration, I now have a pretty quick framework for adding new ones.

Here's the website so you can see if the pricing and offering makes sense for you: watchdog.chat/#pricing-section

I'd check out:

  • Mighty Networks (Established and lots of creators use this, especially since they partnered with Convert Kit)

  • MemberVault (Established and I personally know the owners. I'd be happy to make an introduction.)

  • Circle (Also established and a LOT of big brands use this because they have so many features. The coworking community I'm in (Caveday) and Futur Pro by Chris Do use it.)

  • heartbeat.chat (More reminiscent of Discord. I'm in a few communities here, and I created an account to see if it'd work for me. It's promising.)

  • Bettermode (It attracts larger brands' communities with it's white labeling)

  • Heartbeat

I have a LOT more LMS and community-based SaaS companies on my lead list since these are the kinds of companies I love writing content for.

Seriously, just let me know. I'd be happy to share.

What I think could be valuable for you is creating a connection with the founders of these companies (of the LMS/communities) and creating some kind of enterprise-level offer as well as selling to server/community owners on a smaller scale. You're savvy, though, and have probably already thought of that lol.

Yea, I've had a few people reach out and tell me they needed more than the plans offer. I'm just going to make a custom plan as needed for enterprises!

Really smart idea!

They could either white label the service (or offer it as an add-on to their plan) to where it comes included for their customers.

Positioning it as a way to keep communities safe is a good way to get attention, I bet.

and yea, happy to have more leads. Let me know if any of those community owners are willing to chat! Thanks Cat.

I can reach out to my friends (founders of MemberVault) and ask.

For the others, sending an LOI would be a great way to start a conversation.

PS My Telegram offers accountability and support for that ;)

Yep, totally - happy to do the work of reaching out myself, but if you have any friends that you think would be a good fit I'll gladly take a warm intro. Thanks again!

Are you on Facebook? I know it's not people's favorite platform, but it took me less than 5 seconds to find these.

It might be worth checking them out for potential leads.

Yup - Discord is pretty straightforward as they have a server directory sorted by # of active users and I've been getting a good response rate. I'll check out FB if I run out of leads though, thanks!
