Seeking freelance gigs in marketing, UX/UI, video editing – anyone need help with projects?

I just finished up watching Daniel Vassallo's and Sean O'Down's live session - $500 on Upwork by Monday, and it sparked a realization for me. Instead of further burning my savings while pursuing my indie hacker goal, I should boost up my morale a bit by making some extra money from freelance gigs. I can support with marketing/growth hacking, UX/UI, video editing, and other tasks you might have. I'm flexible, proactive, and ready to bring my decades of experience to the table to ensure high-quality results. Anyone here looking to offload some work or knows someone who is?

I don't have extra work, BUT I'm doing a 1-month intense sprint where I spend 3 hours a day in outreach mode to get new clients starting Monday. (And 3 hours a day on building out my membership site.)

For me, that's direct outreach: cold email, warm follow-up (with people I've talked to & past clients), and sending proposals on various freelance boards & LinkedIn.

It'd be fun to keep each other accountable if you'd like!

Thanks, @cat! 🫶 I’ve decided to try out Upwork to see if Sean’s strategy really works. Essentially, I’ll be doing something akin to cold outreach by sending proposals to Upwork listings.

Upwork is part of my strategy, too, just not limited to the platform since there are other freelance boards with less competition. I'm in the Small Bets community btw. Is the training you watched in there or elsewhere?

Hi, Cat! What platforms/boards/groups/etc do you use? Just want to get an overview — maybe I’m missing out on some really nice place, haha 😊

If you know some other video editors, I would try to reach out to them. During travel I met one that sometimes needed someone to help out when she got sick or wanted to go on vacation. She wanted to recommend trustworthy freelancers to her clients, so the pressure is not fully on her.

Thanks Joda for the tip! I don’t know any video editors at the moment, but I’ll keep in mind that networking with them might be a good way to find work. I really appreciate it!

If you want to go beyond upwork and fiver, skyword also has video editing and UX/UI jobs. :)

So far I do like the experience. Got 4 jobs already.

How was the experience? I’m giving this platform a go, though it kinda looks shady, lol.

Ya'll are using Upwork a lot and I'm not sure how to use the platform the right way. zero responses from folks there, dozens of proposals sent out.

Hey @screenfluent how good are your "fixing bad video audio" engineering skills? 😅

@lis I've worked with audio a lot, so maybe I could help. Depending on how bad it is. :)
