Goodbye, manuscript! π
I've been working on manually formatting a client's manuscript for two days, and I had to redo aΒ whole lotΒ of formatting work to finally get it right. (Because I have zero experience, but an editing client asked me to format.)
The table of contents wrecked me, though. It took about 9 hours, but I figured out what the issue was and both the paperback and ebook versions are properly formatted (and with chapter hyperlinks).
I feel confident enough to send it back to the client with his invoice for the edit + I'm going to add an extra formatting charge. (Because I'm practicing boundaries and assertiveness.)
(When I say I nearly wept on a video co-working call, it's not an exaggeration.)
