Yeah, sendgrid is my preferred solution as it's cheaper. Thanks
Well I'm working on a premium newsletter so the main costs are increased MailChimp bill. I have an idea for some stunts but might have to constrain how much the free users get. Can always scale back free plans as you say.
Maybe look into something like EmailOctopus and Amazon SES - your costs for a big list would be considerably lower

especially in UK/Europe you can't do this due to GDPR rules. But aside from that, I woouldn't do that. No-one wants to be added to lists they didn't sign up for.
Ouch, I didn't consider GDPR. Thanks, good point!
Someone in WIP has recommended Paddle as they cover taxes. I did more googling and found out for Australia you pay 10% GST once your sales get to a certain point like $75000 or something
Ski Resort List was about 3 months from idea to launch but i took a big break over christmas. The simpler the project, the quicker you can launch. In future I would like to build an launch in a month
Yes! I think a WIP publication would be great as we would have more impact than each of us publishing to our own blog etc
Great!
Yeah! If you have any trouble or have questions, hit me up. :) I've done this quite a few times and love monetization.
interesting story on baremetrics.
