Using a countdown timer to take caffeine at a specific rate has turned out to be an absolutely huge productivity boost. I set an alarm for 1.5hrs past a 50mg Caffeine+ pill, 3hrs for a ~100mg cup of coffee. W/o the timer I delay re-upping and slip into Twittering/YouTubing for hours without noticing it.
Went to bed ~2.5hrs past my bed time last night, woke up at my normal time, and feel bad now :( Eyes hurt, not easy to think.
die several times in my quest to relax after a long day of work
Discovered a new favorite Windows shortcut: I mapped Ctrl+Alt+D and Ctrl+Alt+A to Ctrl+Win+Right and Ctrl+Win+Left, the keys used to switch between virtual desktops. So I can now switch between virtual desktops with just my left hand while my right hand stays on the mouse.
Lied down with my eyes closed for 45 mins b/c I felt exhausted and my eyes hurt, feel better now
More client work today: continuing to consolidate/deduplicate copy-pasted code
Completed my first Mi-8 campaign mission in DCS.
Leg day
Tried the PyCharm (Jetbrains) AI Assistant for the first time and was very impressed, it seems better than ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot.
Client work: consolidating copy-pasted SCSS to try to simplify their code
Went back to the education visa school to give them my passport because they said they would get me the visa without me needing to pay more (after apparently over a hundred students were scammed by the visa agent).
Work on client stuff to get $
Copied my auth code over to my main whatdo repo, I want users to have a single account across all my app ideas to reduce friction to try new apps, craigslist-style.
Installed Multi Timer (Android app) on my phone b/c I want to have one countdown timer going to let me know when my 8-hr eating window is up and a separate countdown timer letting me know when I need to make another coffee, and I can't do that with the default Android Clock app's countdown timer feature, which only allows one countdown to be going at a time.
Changed the subdomains for two of my apps from "lets-play" and "lets-read" to just "play" and "read".
Got auth working on my "let's play" repo by copying the code from my "let's read" repo
Eat carrots for a clean, stable glucose drip for productivity
Slept well last night b/c I set a "Lights out!!" alarm that was enough to get me to turn off the computer and close my eyes at my 'normal' sleep hour.
