Applying to some Hacker News jobs my VA couldn't handle
Went for a long walk while listening to DDIA and thinking about app ideas, then did a small leg workout at the gym
Had to confront the Pakistani VA that the people he had working for him seemed to be faking their work and I couldn't see a clear record of things done, so I want to end the contract with him. First "tough conversation" I can remember having in a manager-style position.
Worked on my resume a bit more, got a response from someone that my resume was "very impressive"
Experimented with listening to the audio book for DDIA while getting a massage, it was a good idea, I think I'll keep listening to boring tech audiobooks while getting massages
Had my VA apply to new hacker news jobs
Tried out my new keyboard/mouse stand, I like it, it works well
Got my keyboard/mouse stand to use while on the treadmill
Another 10-12hr call with this nutter Australian client about his Bongo app
Going through these last ~55 jobs that my VA couldn't handle on her own b/c they asked other questions
Wasn't feeling productive in the few hours after drinking coffee and just realized I never started playing any music.
Have my VA remote control my laptop to apply to jobs while I use my desktop PC to apply to jobs, while on a Google meet
Get my tweet liked by Paul Graham and Jess Livingston
Worked with my VA to apply to jobs
Spent like 2 hours trying to find a way to let my VA take remote control of my desktop PC when I'm not around, there's like 30 remote desktop options and they weren't working or were a hassle to pay for 😭😭😭 Finally settled on Chrome Remote Desktop with her having one of my Google account passwords, we'll see if it's OK.
Can't fall asleep because I keep needing to pee wtf but at least I got my first positive response from all these job applications I'm sending out
Hire a Filipina med student to apply to jobs for me because this first guy seemed to be delegating the work to other people and I don't want to risk having stupid mistakes on my applications
reviewed a leetcode question
worked on my resume a bit, added a link to the 'Intro to Programming' course I did and my Stack Exchange answer on OpenID Connect
did a leetcode question, angry you're not supposed to use a debugger when doing these
