Prepping Monday's Feedback Button release: merge, admin key, and the three QA fixes are all fixed, audited, pushed to feature/feedback-button, Linear updated. Next: QA re-tests on dev, then merge PR #11898 Monday. #retently
Ran ChatGPT ads (OpenAI's new ad platform) for a month and here's the honest data: $3,045 spent in July, 90K impressions, 1,178 clicks at $2.58 CPC and 1.3% CTR, zero trials. The CTR and CPC look healthy on paper, but the clicks were worthless: 95% bounce rate, 8-second average visit, only 15 of 723 visitors ever saw our signup page. The problem is structural, not creative. First, ads only show to Free and Go tier users, and our buyer (a CX manager with a company budget) is almost certainly on Plus or Team, which never sees ads. Second, the ad sits below an answer the user already got, so if ChatGPT just told them which tools to consider, the sponsored card underneath is redundant at best. I paused everything and are putting that budget into being the answer instead. #retently
