Launched Tailstream (yesterday)!
I decided to smash the button and launched Tailstream yesterday. It's nowhere near perfect yet I kept on postponing it and got tired of myself. This has been the first side-project in quite a while for me, so I'd love to hear what you think.
Tailstream aims to turn raw server logs into real time visual event streams, which helps you to actually see what is going instead of having to crawl through tons of logs.
Demo screenshot of the Space Invaders theme. Green = 2xx, orange = 4xx and red = 5xx status codes.
It does not aim to replace traditional server logs, but it aims to complement them.
There's a free plan to get started and paid tiers for users who need more.
The next steps are to make the setup process a lot easier (perhaps rolling my own zero-config ingest client) and tweaking the visualisations.
The landing page _IS_ the demo; I've hooked up my own server to the ingest API which means that (almost) every request will immediately be shown on the homepage.
Would love your thoughts and feedback!

nice! how did you built it? cursor or claude code?
Thanks! I use Cursor on my dayjob (burning a looooooot of tokens) but for this project I forced myself to use Codex + Claude to make sure that I don't use any company funds for my own project.
I'm still using Codex as my IDE, but do most of the AI generation using Claude and Codex.
nice, have you tried google firebase studio?
Nah not my thing.
