In January 2023, Snap Inc. discontinued their support for the Snap Camera application for Windows and MacOS. Knowing many content creators used this application for their streams, I looked to reverse engineer it.

Within a day I had the API figured out and a basic plan on how to keep the application from going offline at the end of the month.

Initial reactions from the community was great, within the first week 10,000 users were using the patch so they could end up using the application after the shutdown. All through word of mouth.

Currently over 500,000 users world wide are using it, and I've heard stories from so many different people outside the initial content creator circle that I originally intended the patch for.
