I'd suggest Bangkok around Lumphini or Ekkamai/Thonglor. Hotels have long term deals with 50% discount. Email them. Otherwise good Airbnbs available but some are not good. Chiang Mai is unliveable now due to air quality. Phuket is great. Samui isn't great. Ko Pha Ngan is nice if you're a hippie.
