I took a vacation for the first time this year since 2010, and it was absolutely glorious. It recharged me so I could come back and work on projects with renewed energy.
Also, you mentioned looking for ways to make money that isn't trading time for dollars (or euros π). Have you considered creating a paid community membership? You already have a LOT of expertise people would be willing to pay to access, so that wouldn't be a problem.
