I don’t know in fact. I visited last year and I focused on old city and i loved it. Now, maybe to visit anorher part in more detail. Zone with good cafes to work, good vibes…

"good cafes, good vibes" - you've just described every single neighborhood in Bangkok haha

That said, if you're not sure I'd just recommend staying somewhere in central Sukhumvit. It'll be different than the old town and lots of expats live there (it's where I live too) so you'll be able to meet lots of different people. You can't really go wrong as long as you're near a BTS stop and relatively central.
