My Cursor AI token usage resets every month on the 18th, and I'd only used 60%. So I had Opus 4.7 one shot a modular test suite for Kit and write tests for EVERYTHING. Unit tests. Integration tests. API tests. Opus banged it out in 30 minutes. And after an hour of tweaking, every test passed. My token usage after it was all complete, 65% 🤦‍♂️ Unbelievable.
Refactored contact onboarding, allow contacts to change their timezone, and mirror timezone changes to other contacts with the same phone number #kit
Built retry logic for when ai requests timeout #kit
New cron that ensures #kit always has a worker running
#kit v0.7.0 shipped
Refresh a contact's priority when their status/frequency is updated #kit
Going to try sending ALL availability to contacts instead of cherry picking #kit
Burned 4.2M tokens tracking down a one line bug #worthit #kit
When both a direct response AND an ai generated response are returned by the same request, convert the direct response into a system message so #kit includes it as context for it's response
Push a contact to next week's schedule via txt or the dashboard #kit
Stop creating new schedules for new users who signed up within the past 72 hours #kit
Stop auto-scheduling if the user has availability next week since they might want to push someone to next week #kit
Rewrote the weekly nudge to include the names of the contacts on the schedule the coming week, let them know they can push/skip a contact if they want and include current availability if there is any #kit
Moved weekly schedule creation and request for the upcoming week's availability from Sunday to Saturday to give people the weekend to plan next week's #kit calls
Roadmap planning and crafted a prompt for the new "Push contact to next week" feature #kit
Change from multiples of 7 to allowing users to set the frequency which they want to keep in touch with a contact to any number of days >=7 (one call/week max) #kit
When selecting availability to offer contacts, boost the score of "on the hour" times #kit
Updated system prompt to (hopefully) prevent #kit from preemptively creating users from contacts without them asking
Small prompt tweak should allow #kit to adjust your availability vs flat out replace it. New evals to test it. New evals passed 🚀
Ran evals against this week's refactor, a few tweaks, but Grok-4-Fast is still kill'n it #kit
