I am no expert at hosting at all, but I would tell you to look at apex.sh as it has different services & I think it supports Serverless with Apex Up & is very reliable. People complain to me telling AWS is expensive & all.

I just checked Stripe Atlas. It says it costs $500. Am I right ?

$500 just to register a startup. What if the startup doesn't work?

Also what do you mean by blocked accounts? I don't want my bank account block if I'm doing some internet business.

I won't have any enterprise clients but can you explain what is the harm if I don't register ? Can you explain in a bit more detail ?

Also, am I fine till it doesn't cross a particular threshold (in $), like some value (ex. if it makes $5000/month I'm not gonna suffer any consequences) ? Sorry but I'm completely noob at this 😂

You can create an entity once and then launch different projects. My observation shows that companies outside of the US or EU have more difficulties with sales because there is a lack of trust. I would recommend talking to the lawyer. Good luck :)

Thanks this helps. What is the income (in numbers $ or ₹ per month) at which I can register if you have done this already? Also, if I don't register, what's the harm?

Me alone

You can show your income as an individual or self on initial level and if your startup grows then you can think about the register. If you still want to register, check out 'startup India' scheme. see if you can get any benefits from it.

If it helps, I live in India. And what is limited revenue (any number in $)? Is WIP registered?

I don't know the laws in India. Best to check with local tax authority and/or local entrepreneurs.

Yes, I have one corporation that holds all my ventures including WIP.

Try & build a Hello World app. Its like ~40-45MB which I don't remember but I built it. Some of my simple examples can be found here, here & here & I think it was very less in size.

I made a short blog a year or so ago about reducing size. If you know React/Preact I have a ready made boilerplate with Webpack Support I just created.

If you're getting a size like Pugson says then you're obviously doing something wrong with your code. You can find a nice list of resources at awesome-electron & if you don't know anything about Electron & as the docs suck then get started here.

If you still don't get the size reduced take a look at VSCode & Atom, its like 70MB with so much stuff.

Also, take a look at Electron Builder & if you still aren't getting any size reduction then show me the code. I'll take a look.

Personally I don't know how to do it. But yes it is 6-7MBs. There is a video by Egghead but it is paid so if you already have a subscription you can watch it. You can check the companies using NWJS here which will give you an idea about size but it is less than Electron. Messenger which uses NWJS is 1.5MB. Checkout awesome-nwjs that might help you. I never used it so can't say about that.

Updates might be bad. But if you're launching something new or version 2.0 of earlier product then email them. You just need that 1 person who is in that niche & has a big reach to get more customers. People usually forgive 1 or 2 mistakes so I don't think it would be a problem if you provide them some value another way. At least I would do so. It doesn't hurt to get more eyes.
