Heartbroken over Jane Goodall's death. She's why I did conservation ecology research in the field + lab, and part of the reason I got an anthropology degree focusing on linguistics. I still take animal behavior online courses. I remember when I was 10 and leaving elementary school, they asked us who our hero was, and most people said their parents, other family member, god, etc, but mine was (and still is) Jane Goodall. Anyway, it's a heavy day, but the world was better off for her being alive. #life
