started the course on character acting for voiceover: learned about method/naturalistic acting (Stanislavski), expressive action; brief history of acting/drama (starting with Greeks); when to choose which method of acting; the 10 questions to ask as an actor #stolenvoice
home-biked 30 minutes plus walked 5km 🏃 - time: 40,5 min - average speed: 7,41 km/h - remarks: Wild (uncalm) thoughts with the conclusion that I will have a small-scale sabbatical next for 7 days to relax and spend time on (also non-business) projects I neglected in the last weeks - and maybe start doing meditation, maybe - fastest walk this week! #health
bought flights and hostel for the One Voice Conference in London #stolenvoice
attended the Live Mentoring session with Hugh and Peter live from Atlanta #stolenvoice
walked 5km 🏃 - time: 41,25 min - average speed: 7,27 km/h - remarks: Fantastically cold again. No clear thoughts only some fragments like how one of my best friends just (literally) mastered his studies with a 1,0 in his final colloquium. Awesome! And I went through some random scenes in my head where I would play a certain character. Character play and identity research gain more popularity in my world, it’s fun and fascinating to play with roles, stereotypes and character types. But the danger is to get lost in a character, if you don’t reset yourself regularly - I’d assume. #health
voiced some German words for @nathanielchen1's #backpacklanguage #stolenvoice
finished the advanced VO course (doing post-production, working with directors, client-work remotely, physical and vocal health) #stolenvoice
walked 5km 🏃 - time: 40,75 min - average speed: 7,36 km/h - remarks: Bombastically cold! I felt parts of my face actually freeze to numb. If I hadn’t moved my facial muscles it would have :P Knees both fine. Also, I realized that in the beginning of each fast walk I’ve been pumping to get my body on temperature. When warm enough I continue / maintain that rhythm until in middle (sometimes more towards to the end of the walk) I start to freeze because I lose tension in my body and concentration. Towards the end, I gain concentration again by pumping more and arrive with a pretty warmed up body back at the house. Also, in this midnight walk I realized how energy-draining fighting or dealing with the cold is. I’m feeling super hungry now. Also, during the walk I felt good and powerful, also because having walked though this 40 minutes of cold voluntarily is what I as a small and important win for the day :) #health
learned a bit more on mic selection and created my preliminary shopping list for home-studio recording gear - takes soo much time (cos me = relatively bad decision maker) - will purchase in a few days and try it all out - AND: learned a few tricks on how to record on the road traveling - SUPER EXCITING and if it works it would be a bit of DREAM COME TRUE :) #stolenvoice
surprise-visited my grandma, grandpa, uncle and his wife - you never long when it'll be the last time - was super worth to pay the price of a full-working day #social3
walked 6,4km 🏃 - time: 6,4 min - average speed: 5,41 km/h - remarks: (happened on Monday) a walk out of my standard route because I surprise-visited my grandparents in Saxony and took the walk from train station to their village - hefty winds on the open fields and I crossed a tree-cutting area with tress having been de-rooted from all the winds and storms of the last weeks and months #health
walked 5km 🏃 - time: 40,25 min - average speed: 7,45 km/h - remarks: exceptionally fast today. Again blue sky, sun out there, cold but with sunshine and blue sky cold is not so much a problem. Based on the walk I came up with the idea for 2 drafts of blog articles (one related to life being a maze („amazing“ ^^), not a mess; and the other related to how to actors should consider auditions — both articles are about perspectives.) #health
walked 5km 🏃 - time: 41 min - average speed: 7,32 km/h - remarks: bit slower than yesterday and also a bit colder than yesterday because I had walked at midnight. Was thinking whether I’m happy with how the day went and I’d say: kind of. I had planned to do 2 other things I didn’t do because I felt the moment for the other thing I had started spontaneously. Though in the long run and strategically harmful, I tend to get these things done that I haven’t planned the night before but that have been in the air. So, the lesson here is: Make a plan and be comfortable that it will totally change - as long as you do things that are aligned with where your focus is - and yes, sometimes derailing is fine, but make sure you get your skates on rail soon after the detracting enjoyment. #health
built (improvised) my 1st home-recording studio: it's the classic wardrobe that I find the best solution for now. Audio test still to be done #stolenvoice
