Washem accepted in the Google Play Store

On the 26th of May, version 1.0 of Washem got accepted in the Google Play Store.
This was an awesome moment.

Especially since Apple decided to reject the app as I am an independent developer and not a formal institute. This matters to them since they look at a handwashing app as a "medical service" related to the Covid19 pandemic.

After creating the basic first version of Washem within 27 hours of coding, creating a landing page with, and setting up my mobile app development accounts I was proud to be shipping something from idea to product well within a week.

I hope that the iOS version will see the daylight, but for now I'm focussing getting a bugfix for the Android version out and launching on Product Hunt & getting the word out that this app exists.

Time to make people wash their hands properly!
