Spreadsheet for language learners

Just a share for anyone who's interested, but you can roast it if you want.

This tracker helps you systematically work through every verb and tense using a 3-stage approach: recognizing it, producing it, and mastering it.

It's got built-in dashboards so you can actually see your progress, view the data in different ways, and see what you need to work on, and it's designed to work alongside Anki or whatever spaced repetition you're already doing.

The sample data shows how it works, but obviously you'd replace that with your own verbs and progress. Careful because there's a lot of automation in there.

While I built this for French, you could easily adapt it for any language with complex verb systems.

Probably overkill if you're at an A1 level, and if you're already fluent (or C1+), you definitely don't need this level of tracking unless you're studying for the CEFR exams and want extra structure.

I'm making one for nouns and adjectives later and will make it with Russian in mind to accommodate languages with a case system (but it could be used for languages without too).

Anyway, good luck out there if you're learning a language :)

PS It was a fun project to build the tracking logic and dashboards. Lots of conditional formatting and cross-sheet references if you're into that sort of thing.

I am learning German right now (B2) i tried Anki, quizlet and other stuff but the only thing that worked for me was story (text mining + enough Grammar to get me going + chatgpt)
There is actually a website i used a lot is called lingq which i used that beside chagpt as well.
Also do post this in /r/polyglot, i think people there would love this.
But your spreadsheet is really cool.
