What’s happening?

@marc YouTube/Google is slowly reducing all access to the YouTube API with an insane low API Qota. All applications that use the YouTube API get less and less access and are forced to stop.

What I've learned: Never build an application built on one external service (API).

@Bjornftw Ah shit, that sucks. Do they have any way to get the quota increased?

And yes, building applications on top of external services is risky.

@marc Yes, there is a request form to extend your daily quota but they ignore it. Many apps like YTCount have these problems too..
